Am seeing a Gp soon but trying to find out as much as I can beforehand.
I’ve always been very hormone sensitive and have had ibs flare ups all my life. Am on hrt and get pain and pms symptoms still at ovulation ad leading to period but better than when off hrt
Recently, most months I have had gastro issues on my period followed by awful headaches and feeling fluey, throbbing pelvic , anal and bladder pain. Achy body, bones, can’t get out of bed etc. Feels a bit like a migraine but lasts . Feels like gastro flu with constipation and tummy pain rather than diarrhea (although occasionally i have one episode of that). I have always had erratic gastro type fluey viruses but not regularly and so in sync with menstrual cycle (I don’t think anyway)
The past couple of years ive had a CT scan, numerous ultrasounds, gastroscopy, Flexible sigmoidoscopy, zillions of blood tests. Had my gallbladder out which helped with some other symptoms I had previously.
I also get rib and chest cavity pain although that could be explained by muskoskeletal issues
I always feel fobbed off when I go to the gp as tests so far have been fine and they can’t seem to see everythinh holistically and work out what is actually going on. But surely it’s not normal to feel like this? I can’t function for many days each month.
any advice?
