First time mammogram

I'm 52 and have been called for my first time mammogram and the nerves have hit already. I’ve heard some horror stories of the procedure being painful, particularly as I have quite large breasts.
does anyone have any words of wisdom that would help thanks

I had one recently due to a breast lump. It was slightly uncomfortable but nothing else, definitely not painful. The room was cold which I found worse than the procedure.

finally had my app today and it definitely wasn’t as bad as I thought
getting into position was tricky but there was absolutely no pain and barely felt any pressure when the machine was tightened up.
