Abnormal cells were found on my last smear test and when I had a coloscopy and biopsy it was discovered that the abnormal cells were on my vaginal wall. The biopsy came back as low level and I will go back in a year for another coloscopy.
I am on HRT oestrogen patches and have the merina coil. I also use oestrogen cream from time to time when I feel the need. Nothing was mentioned about the oestrogen at my appointment but a friend suggested it might be a bad idea to carry on using the cream.
I plan on trying to contact the consultant to double check what I should do but thought I'd just ask here too in the mean time. Googling doesn't really tell me much.
Any thoughts?
