Very long period

I am 38 & ttc no2, for the last few months my periods have been all over the place which is obviously annoying when ttc.
This month I have had nearly 10 days of very light period, sometimes stopping completely, sometimes heavy enough to need a pad.
Anyone have any ideas what is going on? Im scared I am starting menopause or something!!

It could well be peri, my periods got heavier and closer together, and it was some time before I realised that it was peri causing it.
