Thrush?

I was put on a weekly preventative course of fluconazole in 2020 to treat thrush. I had a couple of breaks at the request of the GP to see if I would get thrush again, which I did, so I've been taking it every week ever since.

GP has just called after my recent repeat prescription request, and said that actually none of my previous swabs came back as positive for thrush (no fungal infection) so I'd actually been taking the fluconazole for no clinical reason.

Has anyone had thrush symptoms and it not been thrush? I've been tested for STIs (all fine) and BV (negative). I may find I don't get it again but given now sensitive I seem to be down there, I suspect it'll be back soon enough.

I've done all the usual non-medicinal steps in the past which didn't help - cotton underwear, no over-cleansing, perfume free shower gel, low sugar diet etc.

I swear by these ! I had thrush all the time as teenager one once I used these , it went away forever ! They sell it in boots ! And I also took probiotic , specially made for woman , to aid in good bacteria in vaginal and gut area . Give it a try if you can ☺️

Hey , no I don’t use them anymore , like I said I used it for 2 weeks , I bought 2 pack , 10 days , I think there is 5 in a pack , and it just never came back , like ever ! It’s been like 10 years and nothing anymore :) just used it that one time ! I remember doctor prescribing me other stuff and creams and nothing ever worked ! Might have worked while taking them but as soon as I stopped it came back !

And use it at bedtime so the good bacteria in these tubes can stay inside all night :)

@Infertilitylady what probiotic do you take, please?

Could it be intercourse knocking your pH balance out? Using a condom helps
