Breast and Neck Lump Help

Looking for any advice anyone would care to offer. I found two lumps in my breast last week, one larger and one smaller but in the same general area. Saw the GP and referred under the 2 week suspected cancer protocol.

Recieved appointment in the post yesterday for 30th November which seems ages away.

Earlier today I found a pea size lump on the same size just above my collarbone and I am really panicking. My husband has said to phone and ask for the appointment to be sooner but I looked online and it seems like it wouldn’t change the appointment and that people have been given later dates too.

Does anyone know if there is a way to fast track it when it’s already a “fast” appointment? Should I go back to my GP? I am 40 and this has never happened before.

I don't know whether it can be sped up, but I didn't want to read and run. Hoping for the best for your appointment 💐

Can you afford to go to a private clinic?

Evergreen12345 · 05/11/2023 21:03

Oh bless you, I understand why thsi must be so worrying.
Lots of things can cause lumps, I really hope that this nothing serious ❤️

All you can do is ring up the clinic in the morning and see if there is any cancellations and then if no joy make another app at the gp for the new lump and see if they can help!

Sending you love x

How scary for you op. How can the 2 week wait appointment be 3 and a half weeks time? Have you tried ringing the gp reception and querying it and also asking to speak to the gp again to tell them about the new lumps. I think I would be applying a bit of pressure to see if I could get seen earlier in your shoes.

Thanks everyone. I haven’t spoken to anyone about the new lump yet as I only found it over the weekend and the clinic/my GP are closed.

Unfortunately we live month to month and private clinic wouldn’t be possible.
