I used to be able to before it was removed - very easily.

There is a lump off flesh that often hangs down at the vaginal entrance after a vaginal delivery, and yes, your womb will often be a bit lower

Multipleexclamationmarks · 28/10/2023 22:08

Yes I can, it's lower when I'm on my period which is handy as I use a menstrual cup. No prolapse, 3 vaginal births though.

GarlicGrace · 28/10/2023 22:09

Mine's got nearer with age. Gravity attracts everything! Never had a full-term pregnancy. It used to be a bit of a stretch - I could easily touch it with the end of my middle finger - but these days it's just sort of there 😄

I haven't got a prolapse, according to two doctors. Google says the normal vaginal depth is 2.75 - 4.75 inches, but that's on a limited study of women who'd never been pregnant. "A piece of string" is probably the correct answer!

I’ve had one baby I’m my late 20s abs it’s just inside first knuckle about 5cm in. Struggle with tampons surely it’s not normal?!

Well, 5cm is 2 inches, so that would be shorter than Google's normal. Could it be more like 7cm, lying down, so 2.75 inches?

Things move around. You can probably bump it up further, if you're so inclined.

Ask the doctor to examine you stood up, makes a big difference.

That sounds short to me, mine is full middle finger but I'm tall. If you're concerned could you visit a pelvic physio specialist?
