Hi all...wondering if anyone has experienced similar.
After waiting over 18 months, I had a uterine polyp removed in August. Apparently it was growing unusually & they used some kind of loop tool (can't remember the name) to shave it off & it was removed successfully.
I have had 2 periods since & the same mid cycle spotting has been exactly the same as before the removal. I have an appointment back at the gynae clinic in Dec (earliest appt) but wondered if anyone has had similar and if so, what was it? I was assured the spotting between periods would stop as the polyp was removed.
I was given the all clear from a colposcopy about 18 m ago & the biopsy results were all clear. But can cells change in that time or am I just fretting?
Sorry to ramble!

I don't want to worry you but I've been daily bleeding every since a botched polyp removal July 2022. It was a large fast growing polyp, approx the size of a large grape, attempted to be removed by walk in hysteroscopy with no pain management, sedation, or anaesthesia. Something went badly wrong.

The polyp was later removed in a General Anaesthetic surgical procedure that took 1hr 45 mins.

Regardless I have been daily bleeding a regular amount all day every day ever since. The bleeding gets far worse if I do something like heavy lifting or lots of steps. I assume that I've got some form of internal injury inside my uterus. Current surgeon refuses to comment as I've gone legal on the previous one.

In your position, what I'd be interested to know is if it's possible you've been slightly injured internally during the polyp removal and if this is causing some irregular bleeding -or- if there's other issues such as fibroids causing some bleeding.
