I’ll start by saying I’m on the Mirena coil, had it fitted in June 2021 however I have had regular periods since it was fitted. I have two children already and we don’t wish to have any more. I have for a large number of years now had spotting between my periods as well. I have had an ectropian which was cauterised a long time
ago but I was informed in my first pregnancy had grown back. I also have endometriosis, a chocolate cyst which was removed about 8 years ago and I have a low ovarian reserve. Last month I had a very short bleed 1-2 days but this month I’ve had some cramps but no bleeding and now I’m 6 days late. I have taken a pregnancy test just to be sure but that was negative. Any ideas? Am I staring down the barrel of the gun of early menopause? I am only 36. I have been having quite regular headaches and been very tired. I’ve also been more irritable. Am I just being overly anxious? I know Mirena can stop periods but surely not over 2 years after it was placed?
