Seeing GP for bleeding after sex

I've finally got my act together to see the gp tomorrow after a couple of months of very light bleeding occassionally between periods and a few occasions of bleeding after sex. I feel like an idiot, I don't even know how many times it has happened but recently there was a fair bit of bright red blood one on occasion that made me think I should so something about this. Typically I think I'm due my period tomorrow.

I'm not sure why I'm posting, maybe just reassurance that I'm not making a big deal out of what is probably nothing!

Anything out of the ordinary should be checked out by a GP. How are your periods normally in terms of pain? I started to bleed a bit after sex and it was a symptom of what would eventually be diagnosed as endometriosis. But you're not being unreasonable to get checked out.

Thanks for replying and sorry to hear about your endometriosis. My period pain is variable, I usually get a day or 2 of what can be really quite intense pain but it feels low down in my vagina if that makes sense, rather than abdominal cramps
