Appointment after pelvic exam

I had a pelvic exam back in August as I'd been having some light bleeding between periods for a while. Nothing was found on the scan but now the surgery has said the doctor has requested to see me for a face to face appointment. I queried whether it can be done on the phone as the only appointments available aren't exactly convenient but was told it needs to be face to face. This is worrying me! Has anyone had something similar and can tell me straight if I should be worrying or can put my mind at rest?

I know it’s not easy but try not to worry. From your post it’s not clear to me if you had a pelvic exam and were then sent for a scan? Have you had any blood tests taken? Perhaps that’s why they want face to face, to do more tests or exam you again?

Thanks for the reply. No I didn't have a scan or any blood tests and it's been nearly 3 months so I thought if something was wrong they'd have got back to me before now? I really don't know.

Hi. Maybe GP wants to do another pelvic exam to see if anything is different. Mine was sort of the other way around. I had a phone appointment with GP in Sept for lower back pain and irregular bleeding. No examination then, but they had me in for bold tests for a range of things(huge list actually). I heard the results were all ok, but my back pain persisted and I started daily bleeding. I then got a GP appointment with pelvic examination. I was told my uterus was enlarged and I will be sent for an US scan, but will take ages as not urgent.
sorry if this isn’t hugely relevant to your circs, I just wanted to post in support as I know you might feel very worried and preoccupied with it. When is your appointment now?

Thanks, that does help. My appointment is 9th November so fortunately not a very long wait to find out. I hope it's not another examination though as the only appointment I could take was with a male doctor.
