Lymph node in breast help!

Hello, I’m hoping to find some reassurance or similar experiences as my health anxiety is hitting hard :-(

Around 3 weeks ago I found a a pea-size mobile lump in my breast. I went to the GP who referred me to the breast clinic and I was seen the following week. The Dr did an ultrasound and said it was a lymph node and nothing to worry about. He only scanned the small area where the nurse had marked an X for the location of the lump.

Fast forward 10 days and I discover a new lump in the same breast but in a different location. It feels different but exactly like N enlarged lymph node. It’s bigger, the size and shape of a butterbean and moves when I push it. I went to the GP yesterday who felt it and re-referred me back to the beast clinic. My appointment is in 2 weeks.

Im so scared and worried.

Why are these lymph nodes popping up in my breast!? Are they indicating something sinister? :-(

I had an ultrasound of an enlarged lymph node in my armpit (the same side as the breast) 2 years ago and that was reported as a ‘large lymph node’ too but nothing to worry about about… naturally I’m now spooked that it’s definitely something to worry about as they are all connected along the same line! The armpit lump Is still there but unchanged.

Im confused why the Dr didn’t scan the whole breast last week and just that tiny area - I guess they don’t have time :-(

But yes, I’m panicking and wondering if anyone else has had swollen nodes within their breasts?

Hello. Same issue as you. Have you had any answers yet?? I will get ultrasound on both breast. OB said it was lymph node bottom left breast and for me not to worry which was normal but there doing a ultrasound to be on the safe side

Have you had the scan yet? What did they say?

They scanned on both lumps again to be told they are lymph nodes and nothing to worry about. However, they STILL didn’t scan the whole breast which was odd to me? Just each individual lump.

Im still really worried that these lymph nodes are indicating something else deeper is going on but I’m too young for a mammogram and a scan of the entire breast seemed out of the question.

So I guess I just have to trust the results and stop worrying? Eeek! xxx

No haven’t gotten the call to get the ultrasound done. I will call tomorrow to see what’s up with the appointment. I just hope my situation is nothing to worry about because I’m only 31 with 2 kids. 6 year old and 8th month old. I’m just to paranoid.

if everything is okay with you I think you shouldn’t worry. I’m glad you’re doing okay.

I am a similar age to you and also have two children under 5 so I know how you feel! Let me know how the scan goes, I'm sure it will be absolutely fine!
It is so hard to stop worrying about it isn't it :-(

I have the ultrasound until the 29 😒 still have 2 more weeks.

Any update on your lumps?? Anyone. I've had two ultrasounds on my breast lump that is showing as dense tissue. I'm 30, due in for a biopsy on Friday. So scared but trying to take reassurmenet in the scans

Oh fingers crossed it goes ok! I was also told I had dense tissue. I didn’t have a biopsy, that should be a huge reassurance to you once it’s done.

The second lump also showed up as a lymph node, once again nothing else was scanned, just the node. So now I have 2x large lymph nodes in my left breast with no explanation other than they look normal-ish. Only the small area where the nodes are has been scanned.
Im so stuck between spending the money on a private scan which will scan my entire breast, or, to listen to the professionals and take their word for it.
Im just worried there is something else going on leading to the enlargement of the nodes!

I had done a breast ultrasound back in December nothing suspicious showed up but OB still wants a mammogram idk why if nothing showed up on ultrasound. I have no lumps or anything. The reason I had done an ultrasound was because when I was 2 months PP I felt my breast warm. Now my son is almost 1 and sometimes I still feel it. I get paranoid that something is wrong.

what did your situation turn out to be?? Hope nothing serious.

This is exactly what happened to me. Ultrasound revealed a lymph node and i was discharged from the breast clinic. I am still getting pain in the lump, and have also felt a new one.
