Colposcopy clinic today. Petrified

Hi ladies. I'm absolutely crapping it.

After 3 yearly smears jave come back with high risk hpv I've been referred to colposcopy for a more in depth check.
What can I expect today? Anyone have any positive experiences?

I suffer so bad with health anxiety and I feel physically sick but trying to remain positive.

I also had a baby 10 months ago.

A funny story to distract you.
I had 1 about 19 years ago
I walked in and the doctor said do you mind if a student observes? Of course not I said....
In walked a man hotter than George Clooney (20 years ago remember) and I got so flustered that I thought I was going to pass out. Not from pain. From being in a room with my legs in stirrups with the hottest man I've ever ever met in real life who then literally looked up my vagina (sorry DH).
I walked out in complete bits and my sister was like what the fucks wrong with you and roared when I told her 😂

It will be fine. It doesn't hurt and they explain everything. I passed the time telling the consultant a joke about surgeons, which made him laugh, so there was a very jolly atmosphere.

I had one for the same reason about 5yrs ago. The staff who did it were lovely and did a brilliant job of creating a cheery atmosphere. Got a letter two weeks later announcing all was fine (despite the HPV which cleared later) and I went back to the usual schedule of smears.

UPDATE

Had the solution to check cervix and all is fine. No abnormalities.
He said he will write to my gp to request another smear in a years time to check if the hpv has cleared.
I'm so relieved 🥲
