Has anyone had a sore vulva before?

I’m in my early 20s and have suddenly since my period had a sore vulva.
I’m really confused as to what it is

The mucosa inside feels really “raw” and tender to touch, I’m really dry down there and any discharge is very watery and not very lubricating. I don’t have any thrush like discharge or any weird smells etc.
the whole outside of my vulva feels sore and if I was to squeeze my legs shut tightly it also feels sore.

has anyone had anything similar? Any help appreciated.

I sometimes get this after a period. It doesn’t present like classic thrush but canesten cream seems to sort it out pretty quickly.

I would also try Canesten cream. If that doesn't help I'd speak to the pharmacist/ gp

Yes but I think I have lichen sclerosis, older too. Before I got steroid cream it developed from that to unbearably itchy and sore. Still haven't got a gynae appointment, the steroid cream works though. Can't imagine you would have it so young

You haven't been using scented sanitary towels have you? Some people are quite sensitive to those.

Lonesomefetter, I think I have Litchen Sclerosis. Vulva was very itchy & sore. Had a look, it’s an open sore / white skin.

Can Replens be gotten at the chemist? Was steroid cream prescribed by a doctor? Is it something that spreads?

Vulvavaginitis? Not sure on spelling.

Lichen Sclerosis can present at any age but is more common in older people, I have LS and have done since I was 31
