Please someone answer this I was 3hrs late taking birth control

Hi I’ve started birth control for the first time and it said on the box to take them at the same time every day well I was supposed to take the pill at 9am this morning I put it on the table and poured a glass of water but for someone reason my stupid self drank the glass of water and left the pill on the table I just took it now at 11:50am what does that mean for me? I’ve been on the pill 4 days now I started it on the first day of my period do I carry on as normal? Do I take the pill for extra days before being sexually active due to taking it nearly 3hrs late? What do I do???? I definitely don’t want any mistakes to happen

Which pill is it?

Depends which pill you’re on. If it’s a combined pill, 3hrs late is fine. If it’s a desogestrel mini pill, 3hrs late is fine. If it’s Noriday, 3hrs is a late pill and you need to use condoms for 2 days.

You're fine. As PP said Yasmin has a 12 hour window. You haven't taken it late. You need to read the information sheet that came in the box. It tells you what to do if you miss a pill in future.
