UTI help.

So at the grand old age of 37 I've gotten my first UTI. Bugger me it's awful. I've got the burning when I pee, the constant urge to pee and the full bladder feeling even if my bladder is empty. I've got the lower back and abdominal pain and a temp.

It came on out of nowhere yesterday and I'm amazed how rapidly I've started to feel like this. Im now so full of sympathy for my DD who seems to get these regularly and gets really upset with them.

The GP has prescribed me some nitrofurantoin for three days which I'm told should work quite quickly (I took my first dose this morning) but does anyone have any tips on how to ease the discomfort I'm having. I've lost count the number of times I've been to the toilet (or tried to go) today and it's only 10.25.

Thanks
