Mid cycle bleeding - cervix lump

Hi,
Hoping someone's had something similar as I'm scaring myself 😔.

A few days ago I started to get left side pain, worse if touched but just a bit stabby when I don't move. Left sided pain isn't usual for me and I'm being investigated for colitis or diverticulitis. Assumed it was bowel related.

Today I went to wipe and there's bright red blood and a clot around 20p size. The bleeding heavier than a period and hasn't stopped 3 hours on. Very mild pain and the left side pains gone.
Decided to check cervix position and there's a large soft lump coming out. Its feels like a clot (tmi sorry) and it moves. Blessings worse when it's touched.

Terrified that this is stemming the bleeding and when it comes out so will more blood.

Smear test 6 weeks ago and she couldn't see my cervix. Results came back normal.

Ectopic 2 years ago.

Ovulated 2 days ago I think.

Really worried but over an hour from a&e and it doesn't feel a&e worthy.

Sounds just like an ectropian!

Happydaisydoo · 10/10/2023 07:10

This sounds like a polyp they are squishy and fleshy. Obviously get checked but bleeding (even heavily) can be things relatively harmless. Still do get checked. I worried myself sick with cervical cancer stuff recently x

Thank you :) Slightly less panicky. I genuinely thought I was going to bleed to death 😳.
Back from the gp. They think the left side pain and bleeding are separate. I'm waiting for a colonoscopy (early next month) and they think it's diverticulitis so I have antibiotics. Ultrasound booked to see what's going on ovary wise. She said its unlikely to be a polyp as they'd have seen it during a smear a few weeks ago but I can definitely feel something.

Polyps can be in the canal though so not always seen on a smear. Maybe it’s just protruded now

dinosaursgorawrrr · 12/10/2023 00:13

I'm definitely thinking polyp as tmi - I'd stopped bleeding this morning and thought I'd check 😳. Touched the lumpy bit gently and started bleeding again almost instantly.
Fortunately it has stopped again but I passed a medium brown clot this evening, around 3 cm long 🤢. I'd add a picture but it really wasn't pleasant. Hopefully it won't be too long a wait for a scan 😩.

Bleeding stopped this morning. Lifted something heavy and its back to bright red blood 😔. I had a ectopic two years ago and this reminds me of it.
The only thing putting my mild slightly at ease was the only time I've had sx in the past 12 weeks was the Sunday before last and literally 3 days after my period ended so I wouldn't have got symptoms so soon. Doesn't stop the what ifs though 😢

I went to the hospital in December and got a phone call the next day. They found a 16mmx16mmx20mm lump with feeder vessel. I've been told it is probably a fibroid but could be another type of soft mass. Awaiting surgery to remove it but the wait is taking so long 😩.
I'd go to the gp and ask for a referal for a ultrasound. It was uncomfortable but worth it to know what was going on. Mid cycle bleeding can be normal if not accompanied by pain. x

Oh you poor thing it’s awful you’ve had to wait so long. Thank you I’ve done an e consult for my go tonight so hopefully they’ll contact me tomorrow and we will come up with a plan xxx it’s awful not knowing isn’t it

dinosaursgorawrrr · 15/03/2024 00:21

Hopefully you'll get answers soon 🤞.
I'm hoping the hospital move a bit quicker as the pain gets worse every month. I was told I'd be seen again within 8 weeks but the NHS app says current wait for Gynacology is 8 months. Waiting is horrible 😔 x
