Vasospasms returning for second baby?

With my first baby, I suffered badly with vasospasms which meant that I exclusively pumped for 6 months as feeding was too painful. I am pregnant again and wondering if I'm likely to get them again, but I can't find anything online to say one way or another. Has anyone on here suffered from them and have experience as to whether they have come back when feeding your next child or not? And does anyone have any advice for managing the condition? I can't face pumping again (especially not now with a toddler!) but I also really want to breastfeed if I can

Hi, sorry to hear you also experienced this. I only have 1 baby so can't answer your main question but in terms of management- what months of the year were you experiencing this, I.e. was it winter months? I had a early spring baby and the pain lessened as the warm summer progressed. When are you due? As vasospasm is linked to reynauds, there's a chance you'll not feel as much pain during warmer weather.

Not feeding outside, keeping well wrapped up, wearing a tight sports compression bra over my maternity bra all helped a little too.

Someone at one of my baby classes also had vasospasm and was prescribed something by their GP which helped (she seemed to have it worse than me) - I'm don't know what it was and we're not in touch anymore but worth asking about. Might've been linked to reynauds.

Good luck, hope it doesn't return 2nd time for you x
