Do I take this mini pill?

I got a prescription for mini pill as periods have been getting worse as I approach 40. I used to be on mini pill pre kids. But now I'm unsure as I have a mild bladder prolapse and have read that mini pill is bad for prolapse as the progesterone relaxes things. I feel torn between live with terrible periods or potentially make prolapse worse!
Is there anything non hormonal that would actually work for my periods? I'd obviously love to make them disappear like they did previously on the mini pill but I couldn't bear to make prolapse worse! Any experiences/advice please!

Combined pill to keep oestrogen balanced as well and take it back to back. I'm surprised in your 40s they suggested the mini pill.

The coil will be suggested as well just topical progesterone, that maybe a good call as you can then add the oestrogen if and went needed in you later 40s as part of a HRT regimen.

Thankyou so much for reply. I think il contact doctor back and ask about combined. Really don't want the coil!
