Heat / boob rash not clearing

When it was super hot a few weeks ago, I develop a small heat rash under my breasts. Fast forward 3 weeks; and the rash is now huge, under both breasts, down the middle and starting to spread down the body a bit! It's so dry and sore.

Doctor prescribed daktacort but it doesn't seem to be doing much. Has anybody had this and what cleared it?

I'm also pregnant, so I'm not sure if this is what's making it worse. It's getting huge!

Boots sell medicated talc I'm sure superdrug etc will sell it.

Mrsjayy · 02/10/2023 14:42

It's called medicated powder these days no talc in it.

Savlon worked for me.

Sudocrem the one in the pot. Put plenty on.
Wear a cotton vest/T-shirt next to the skin, if you need a bra wear it over the top.

I used to get this every summer and it would turn fungal til the GP told me to start using Nizoral as a body wash to clear it up, canesten helped but not as much.

For those of us prone to sweat rashes, there's a brand called Dermasilk that makes clothing for skin conditions like eczema and dermatitis, they do silk bra inserts that sit under the boobs, well they did a few years ago when I was looking for things like creams, powders etc to help with really bad sweat / heat rash. What put me off buying was the price, but other companies make similar liners, usually cotton so a lot cheaper than silk. Not sure if they're as effective?

@Ivyy this is a really good suggestion, probably worth investing in a bra and a top, at least during pregnancy! Thank you!! X
