Is this BV?

My long term partner and I do not use condoms, we have both been tested and I am on the pill. Whenever we have sex and he finishes inside me I end up with an unpleasant odour down below. If he doesn’t finish then the odour doesn’t happen. I am unsure if this could be BV? No other symptoms. The smell goes away after a shower or after a day or so. I’ve read online the sperm can upset the ph of your vagina so could it just be this?

I think BV is a constant smell that needs actual treatment so it won't be that.

I think it's common for this to happen. This will be a pretty gross explanation but think about it.....just like vaginal discharge can smell, so can come from a man! The reason it probably smells bad is because it takes some time to come out and then sits in your creases.

You probably would be better to have a bath afterwards etc

That was how it manifested in me. I think you can get a swab kit to test for it?
