I've had some blood results today, taken on day 3 of my cycle. I have been having a lot of peri type symptoms, I'm 38, but I'm not sure the results are what I expected. I have a GP appt in a few weeks but just curious if anyone can shed some light or offer any advice on this.
Thyroid all within range
SHBG 21.0nmol/L - Range 32.4-128 (low)
FSH 6.0IU/L - Range 3.5-12.5
LH 3.0IU/L - Range 2.4-12.6
Oestradiol 133.0pmol/L - Range 114-332 (normal but low end??)
Testosterone 1.99nmol - Range 0.29-1.67 (high)
Free androgen index 9.5% - Range 0.2-7.1 (high)
I've only had LH and FSH tested before out of the above so I'm not sure of what's normal for me. The notes from the results suggest PCOS. I do have regular periods, but have always had issues with my weight, hair, conceiving.
Other bloods also showed my triglycerides slightly raised.
I don't want to be worrying for the next few weeks before my GP appointment. I also want to go armed with any info I need to take because this appointment is like gold dust and it'll be very difficult to get answers after the appointment.
