I'm slowly losing my mind about a constant, low grade headache in my right temple. I've had it for a few months and when it started I did the usual, visit the optician, see the GP etc. Eyes were find, doc wasn't concerned. A few weeks later I returned to my GP as it was still there on and off. My GP called me in to see her after a phone conversation. She was really concerned it could be temporal arteritis and sent me to the hospital there and then. I was checked over and it wasn't that but I was referred to the optometry department the following week where I had drops, my eye pressure taken and a scan of my eye. It showed nothing.
Here we are 3 months later and the headache is still there and it feels like it's blurring my vision, although it isn't, if that makes sense?. My gp has asked me to book a blood test to check something, I don't know what. He said It could be brought on by neck pain, which I don't really have.
I'm menopausal and realise that headaches can be caused by hormonal changes but I'm getting increasingly worried. The headache is very low grade, not enough for pain killers but I'm noticing it more and more.
Any ideas? I'm driving myself insane with worry! I also realise the more I worry the worse it will be.
