Hi all I’m currently taking pop I’m 2 months in and I want to stop. It’s affecting my mood and although my horrible heavy periods are less I spot daily and it’s impacting my relationship.

I only went on the pill because I was spotting now and the. Throughout my cycle but now it’s most days. Any advice? Please welcome.

I just stopped. Took it for 4 months and was bleeding all the sodding time. Discussed with doctor beforehand, but no taper off or anything, just took it one day amd didn't the next.

So you didn’t wait until
the end of the pack or anything? Did you have any side effects coming off it? Xx

I didn't reach the end of a pack. Had a few days of headaches and a migraine, as I get hormonal headaches and levels had changed. Got headaches and migraines while I was taking it too.

Can't you swap to the combined pill? Less chance of spotting & can take back to back if you don't want periods.

Well I have endometriosis (although recently removed, but I’m not convinced). So the combined pill makes me nervous as oestrogen is what feeds endometriosis. I don’t mind not taking the pill but the sparodic spotting was affecting me like taking the baby swimming, obviously sex etc. but this pill is worse. I’m literally never not spotting now.

I just wondered if there was side effects stopping it or should I wait until the end of the pack xx

I ended the pack then stopped as side effects were nasty. I had sex once that whole cycle and got pregnant, was literally about to have a mirena coil put in. It turned out to be ectopic, not sure if the progesterone levels had increased my
chance of an ectopic? That was my only side effect!!!

I feel really snappy too. But the pains I have through endo have gone and also the extreme periods so it’s the worse of two evils 😢

@Mummyme87 did you have any irregular spotting after finishing?

2 months isn't long though. If it has helped some of your symptoms it might be worth persevering and the new symptoms may go.
It usually takes 6months to a year for it to settle.
