Constant bleeding 1 year after Mirena

I'm 52 and my periods became really heavy as I started the perimenopause. They have always been heavy as I had endometriosis but this was next level heavy!
My GP suggested the Mirena which I had fitted 15 months ago. It was replaced after 3 months as it haf moved when they checked it with an ultrasound. It's helped massively with the heavy bleeding- I can get away with just panty liners now - but I now bleed lightly/spot pretty much continuously. After 15 months this is getting tiresome. I'm at the point where I'm thinking of having it removed. Should it have settled down by now? 5 days of horrendous bleeding is starting to look preferable to constant spotting! Anyone had similar experience or any advice?

That happened to me. It eventually stopped after about that period of time

That's reassuring that I'm not alone. Fingers crossed it will stop soon. Thank you for the reply.

How are you getting on? Im in my 30s but im
8.5 months into having the coil for irregular bleeding and it’s made no difference. Still bleeding every two weeks for weeks on end… x

I went back to my GP after 15 months and they've told me to wait a bit longer. I've not had a bleed for about 4 weeks now so I'm keeping everything crossed that I may be coming out of the other side. Xx
