QQ- anyone have experience with norethisterone? Is it easy to get from the GP? I am due on when on holiday next month and I get really painful and heavy periods 😔 a colleague mentioned the meds that can delay your period but I’ve never needed them.
Thanks

Easy to get from the GP and just as easy to get from the Boots or Superdrug online pharmacy (but more expensive!). Just explain as you've done here and you should be absolutely fine. I've done it both ways and never had a problem.

Yes, easy but my GP charged as private prescription as the drugs are not strictly necessary!

thank you - will have a look at boots online as a nightmare to get an appointment at my surgery.
Didn’t know you could do that online - thank you

Really easy to get I just paid a private prescription. However my word of warning which I tell everyone is making sure if you have sex while taking it use contraception as I got pregnant, while I thought it would be my safe week as normally on period it wasn’t!

I assume I get the 30 day one? I’m on day 1 of my period today so when do I start taking ? Just curious 🧐

@autumn1610 yikes!! I don’t have that worry as husband had a vasectomy but good to know!

Ignore my question, just seen on the boots pharmacy how to take it - will order later as need to take a selfie and I’m not ready for that yet! 🤣
