Vaginal opening looseness / prolapse

Hi, I'm 6 weeks pp and was diagnosed with a 2nd degree cystocelle (although to me it looks more like grade 3 while standing). I feel better about it now that I've seen pts and was assessed, as it's better than I thought. When I've looked initially a couple weeks back I was in shock and cried for a few days straight preparing myself mentally for the surgery. Turns out the prolapse itself isn't horrible, but while my vaginal opening was pretty closed before, it's now wide open and everything's on show making it appear massive.
I would like to know if anyone had this issue before and if it will shrink/close up overt time with pt? Haven't tried being intimate with my partner yet, don't want to put him off:(

I'm 3 weeks pp and I have exactly what you're describing: wide open vagina with what I think is the bladder bulging anterior to it and a huge urethral opening. It feels like a constant weight when I stand or walk and it burns occasionally. I haven't seen the doctor yet (no appointments until October) but I'm pretty sure it's a cystocele. I only started noticing it once I recovered from my tear + epysiotomy... I thought I was recovering so well! So I don't really have any wisdom to offer, but I'm there with you... Wondering what my sex life will be like from now on (haven't tried yet either) and whether I'll be able to have any more children... Hope you get better with PT!!

I'm in the same boat! Being 13 weeks pp and after a tricky birth I feel so broken and trying so hard to get medical attention with very little luck. I'm now going down the private route (which is unfair) but I feel like this is the only option. Wondered If you could share an update on your situation and how you are both feeling now?
