Adenomyosis

Anyone been diagnosed with this and can offer some insight?

I've been having pelvic pain, more so on my right side for some time now. Also some spotting between periods. After having an ultrasound recently they discovered a fibroid cyst on my right ovary which I was kind of expecting but also diagnosed me with adenomyosis which is a new thing to me! I'd never heard of it. And apparently my endometrium is 'coarse'?! I'm being referred to gynaecology but I'm just a bit concerned about it all.

Google gives some info but I'm just wondering if anyone here has experienced it or if there's any treatment available? Long terms implications etc
Thank you!

@PeachF Have you been TTC? I unfortunately developed adenomyosis after a second trimester in 2021. Mines cystic and shows as a small area close to my lining. Im worried it’s stopping implantation as my IVF has been failing too. You usually need to down regulate before IVF or trying for natural conception but it depends how mild / severe it is I think. What have they suggested for you? X

@PeachF also since having it I’ve started getting a whole week of brown pre menstrual spotting and spotting after my period too and I’ve been unable to conceive. But it isn’t like that for everyone.

@Loz2467 I'm sorry to hear that.

Not currently TTC and not sure we will again as we have 3 children. The next step is gynaecology referral so unfortunately won't know more until then. Just in limbo right now with this awful pain and no idea when it will get better.

Wishing you lots of luck with your TTC journey x
