Hip problems

Hi
Each time I stand up or move my left hip it seems to click and I get a feeling as if the hip bone/ball hasn't went into its proper location. Has anyone else experienced this? I have had family who have since passed ,who had to get hip replacements. Each time I go for a walk the pain seems to be worse I have woken up in the middle of the night for the past month with the pain.

See the GP and if funds allow see a physio they will advise on next course of action, it might be that you just need some excercises.

I have a very similar feeling problem with my hips. They started to be painful in my early 30s but I ignored it, I thought it was the beginnings of arthritis.
When I eventually went to the GP I had an MRI done which showed hip dysplasia and a labral tear.
Hip dysplasia is quite common. It can be surgically repaired up until about 35 years old, after which the only option is a hip replacement.
Go and see your GP. They might send you to physio initially, but push for further investigation if physio doesn’t help.
