Scared.. is this a prolapse?

I'm so confused.

I'm in the two week wait on my second round of ivf. I am having to insert pessaries into my vagina twice a day. I've been using the pessaries for a about two weeks with no issues.

This morning when I went to insert it there was a huge bulge inside of my vagina in the front side. I struggled to push my pessary inside and far up. It was soft and sensitive to touch.

I felt the bugle for a few minutes and then when I went to feel it again it had disappeared.

Could this be a prolapse? Do they come and go?

I'm already struggling so much with hormones and the likelihood of another failed round of ivf. I'm scared and hormonal and this isn't helping

Sorry that no advice on here for you yet. Best of luck.

I'm no expert but have done Ivf pessaries over 3 cycles (totalling about 8months of twice daily pessaries!). I'm sure I recall similar things when doing mine, sometimes I had no idea what I was feeling and things felt different every now and then. Don't panic and good luck!

Have you had any children before? If not its highly unlikely. The wall between bowel and vagina is quite thin and you can often feet a bulge when there is a big poo waiting to exit the other side.

Thank you all.

I never did manage to feel it again but I am keeping an eye on it. No I've never had children before. It was on the front wall so don't think it would be linked to my bowels?

The IVF failed again sadly so no more pessaries needed, but I will continue to check myself to see if it comes back.
