Anyone been or waiting for a referral to breast clinic. Was seen by a dr who has referred me under 2week wait but i have had an phonecall today for an appointment next week. Im actually worrying because im being seen within a week of discovering the lump when the dr told me it would be 2/3weeks. She never said she was putting it through as an emergency or she didnt say she was worried. Dont get me wrong the quicker the better but im also worrying if theirs a reason why its this quick.

They do the 2 week wait thing because they want to rule out cancer ASAP.

I know it's hard but it's better than having to wait longer - try to distract yourself as much as you can in the meantime, ans do something every day to release the tension in your body (Headspace is free for a year, they have some relaxing mediations and breath work.)
It won't change the outcome but can stop the worry spiralling out of control.

Do you have someone you can talk to in real life?

Please try not to panic. I have found 3 lumps over about 20 years. Thankfully each time it’s been tissue or a cyst. One felt very sinister but thankfully a scan showed all was well. 90% or more of lumps are totally benign. X x
