Lump near armpit

Hi, for months I've had pain in and around my left armpit Ive seen a gp who asked if was any lumps and at the time I said no as didn't think there was , however this pain has been going on for some time now, and now today I have found a lump but only when I'm stretched and at an angle not straight on?

Did the GP not examine you ? You need to go back.

No gp didnt just felt my shoulder as was having pain in shoulder and ribs, then just asked if was any lumps

Go back again OP. It could just be swollen lymph nodes or cysts but it pays to get checked out. Most lumps in armpits turn out to be innocent. Have you had any kind of viral infection lately?

I will phone them back on Tuesday, not really a cold maybe but nothing to bad

So a cold could certainly give this reaction if localised lymph nodes are fighting it. Go anyway OP, put your mind at rest
