High risk hpv and colposcopy

Hi ladies. I've just had my latest smear results through and I've been invited for a colposcopy following 3 years of testing positive for high risk HPV.

Is there anything I can take such as vitamins/supplements to help clear the HPV?

I seen something about AHCC. Does anyone know what this is and is it safe to take?

Does anyone have any success stories on how they managed to clear there HPV?

Sorry for all the questions 🫣🥰

Bumping this in case anyone has any suggestions.

Following too because I’ve tested positive for the last few years too.

Doc said there was nothing I can do but I hate that answer!

momlife3 · 06/09/2023 21:54

@FiddleLeaf it's such a worry. But I already suffer a bit of anxiety around my health.

I really don't think there's anything you can do.
I tried the mushroom supplement things with no result and they are so bloody expensive . I'd pay it if I thought it would work but I highly doubt it .
At the moment I'm taking lots of vitamins and trying to eat healthy etc. even if it doesn't work which I don't believe it will then at least it's doing me some good somewhere
I currently have pre-cancerous cells which will have to be taken off next year if they don't go on their own but I have very little faith they will

Sorry my reply was quite doom and gloom
I see plenty of posts on here from people who have cleared it but I just don't think I will as I've been here before in 2010.
I just don't think there any magic supplements

I've seen a few people on here say they used the mushroom supplements and it's cleared it but I've been sceptical. The same as you would pay any money to clear it but it's a lot to pay for them not to work. I don't think there's a lot of research on them either and that worries me a bit

I tried the mushroom supplements too.

I tested positive for HPV 6 months after my chemo and radiotherapy to treat my cervical cancer.

I haven't retested since then. I might buy a home kit. It feels like I'm just stuck with it tbh 😞

solice84 · 07/09/2023 07:32

@momlife3 yeah , we have no way in knowing if they would have cleared it anyway without taking the supplements

Im sorry to hear that.

If you don't mind me asking? Did you have hpv when diagnosed with cervical cancer?

@momlife3 yes I did. I'd also missed my smears for several years, so I'm not sure how long I'd had it.

solice84 · 16/09/2023 06:38

Well I bit the bullet and ordered some AHCC and I'm going to take them properly this time
I highly doubt this is going to shift my hpv and CIN but even if it stops me getting yet another cold this year it will be worth it because I've been ill with one thing or another all bloody year! Ive had 4 lots of antibiotics already. Had my first chest infection of my 40 year life , tonsillitis , varying degrees of colds and so on.....

Hi! I wondered how you were getting on with the AHCC supplements? Am about to start…
