Painful hysteroscopy?

It would be amazing if you could share this call for help πŸ™

Have you ever had a painful hysteroscopy (gynae diagnostic procedure) or womb biopsy?

Action group www.hysteroscopyaction.org.uk needs more stories of painful hysteroscopy / womb biopsy during outpatient procedures.

Women’s pain relief is often very lacking and the 4,000+ stories already gathered by the group are being dismissed as almost irrelevant given the 60k hysteroscopies now done every year in the UK.

Sharing your story could help your loved ones from going through the same in the future. See the website for more information and the anonymous patient survey.

The group is campaigning for all hysteroscopy / uterine biopsy patients to have:

β€’ Full written information about the hysteroscopy/biopsy procedure including the risk of severe pain
β€’ Safe and effective pain relief
β€’ A genuine choice of no anaesthesia; local anaesthesia; safe monitored conscious sedation; epidural; general anaesthesia.

Thank you πŸ™
