I’ve just had a prolapse - 5 days - and doctor has referred me to Gyno. Whilst I wait, I can’t seem to stand up, I feel my bulge will bulge more and my insides will fall out. I’m stuck on my bed all day terrified to stand. Don’t want to get worse. Don’t know what stage or type but feels like a bulge the size of an egg.

do you just walk around as normal with a bulge there?? Not particularly painful but very uncomfortable and feels full/heavy.

It can't fall out because it's attached inside.
The very worst prolapse I ever saw was a uterus that that was completely prolapsed and hanging out of the vagina which had happened after the patient's 4th child.
She never told anyone and had just lived with it for about 30 years. It was all blistered as it was constantly rubbing on her clothes. She had been too embarrassed to go to her GP.
You should be fine, it's highly unlikely it will come out any further unless you leave it for 30 years!!!

Thank you for replying. So sad for that lady - I get the embarrassment and her endurance sounds immense.

I don’t know anyone who has had prolapse, so scary and feels like life will never be as frivolous and full of outdoor adventure ever again. Sorry I’m feeling sorry for myself - have cried a lot - and know others are far worse off than me. Just need to try and navigate how to actually be confident to stand up. I guess I thought they were just held up or strung on tendons which are just like big stretchy elastic bands. I haven’t thought how they are attached.
