Hi, a week before my period Is due I start getting the worst headaches, then I get nausea which turns into vomiting. I get body aches, horrendous back pain and the most intense fatigue ever I can't move out of bed properly & very breathless. Have been to the gp for iron levels and they're fine, have low folic acid but I'm on tablets for that. I went back to the GP but just got told to either go on the pill or wait it out as I'm still young (23) does anyone else get this?? What is going on it's ruining my life

When you say your iron levels are fine, do you know the actual figure?
Many labs mark results at ‘normal’ around 20 but you can still be symptomatic at that level so it could be worth trying to boost yours if you are in the lower range of normal.
That won’t do anything for the nausea & vomiting though I’m afraid, is it not migraines you are having if it’s a bad headache & vomiting? They can leave you feeling very exhausted and aching, almost flu like. Try migraleave next time you get one and see if that helps maybe.

No I don't but I will try and find out as I have an appointment next Friday! I've had low iron a lot so was surprised it wasn't that. It's definitely not migraines as I've struggled with them before, the vomiting/nausea is constant whether I have a headache or not x
