Pelvic Ultrasound/Transvaginal scan

Hi ladies, I am hoping for some advice for those of you who have experienced the same/similar to myself.

For some background context, I have always had irregular periods. For the past couple of months, I have had constant aches and pains around my lower abdomen/pelvic area, specifically towards the sides which I located as the ovary area.
My doctor carried out blood tests which came back fine, so then referred me to the hospital for a pelvic ultrasound. After the ultrasound, the tech carried out an internal vaginal scan also (it said in the appointment letter that they may choose to do this after the ultrasound if they need to).
The tech did not tell me anything at the appointment regarding the findings - however I know they aren't supposed to anyway.
I called my Dr surgery a few days later asking if my scan results had come back yet, to which the receptionist reassured me that if the scan was clear they would not contact me, and if something showed up then I would be contacted. This was just over a week a go.
Yesterday morning I received a call from the doctors to make an appointment for Monday to discuss the scan results.

Can I ask if anyone has ever been in a similar position - what was your outcome?

I know everyone is different and you shouldn't google but I am so anxious awaiting Monday's appt.

Thank you in advance.

I don't think the receptionist should have said that because surely if the scan shows nothing you are contacted to be told this? It may be that it is something very minor like a small polyp etc

Or maybe the doctor wants to do more investigation because the scan shows nothing but obviously the source of the aches and pains needs to be looked into more.

How did you get on op?
I have had a scan arranged after a blood test so I'm googling to find out why as doctor hasn't spoken to me about it.
