Advice on how not to feel shit on day 1 of period

Does anyone have any advice on how to not feel like absolute shit on day 1 of your period? Anything that works other than limit caffeine, drink lots of water, exercise, eat healthily? I have a healthy lifestyle but still feel like a train wreck on day 1-2!
