Excessive bleeding after lletz

Hi everyone. Just looking for women who have had a similar experience to me. 10 days after my lletz I had very heavy bleeding. They used silver nitrate in hospital and sent me on my way with tranexamic acid and antibiotics. The next week i had even heavier bleeding and had to go into theatre for examination under general anaesthetic. They cauterised it and I stayed in hospital for observation to make sure it didn’t bleed. I’m just terrified it’s going to bleed again. Someone please give me some comfort or advice 😢

This was me last week, two weeks after Lletz, huge bleed in the morning. Hospital couldn't see where it had come from and it eased up, sent home with antibiotics. That evening another massive bleed, silver nitrate treatment and no bleeding since. No advice but in a similar situation.

Don’t take any baths. Nhs advice online said they’re fine but the Dr. Told me absolutely not. And take it easy on physical activities. God bless you 💕

Hey, so far so good. No other bleeding, discharge has stopped. Hopefully all healed. It was an unnerving time though, kept thinking it would happen again. How are you?

It seems as though I’m at the end of what I think is my period. It started light got to a normal flow then got lighter again. That was since the 15th. I’ve been so scared. And to make things worse I realised I was anaemic and the hospital never told me prescribed me iron. It just said on my discharge papers that it was 89. So that was making my anxiety so much worse. I’m 2 weeks and one day post EUA and cautery. How long has it been since you’ve bled now ?

It's been just over two weeks since the bleeding so feeling more confident it won't happen again. I'm back in 6 months for another smear. Hopefully you're feeling better and get the iron tablets sorted out.

Same as me two and a bit weeks. Did you take a bath before the bleed? Did they tell you not to take baths ? The one who did my lletz never told me and neither did the leaflet he gave me. :(

I was advised not to take baths/swim for at least 4 weeks and it was I. my leaflet. Maybe flag it up to them, think it's pretty standard advice.

I wonder what caused yours then 😥 I can’t believe I was never told.
