I have been taking Letrozole for a year for Breast cancer post surgery, chemo and radiotherapy.
My GP has changed me to Anastozole because there is a shortage of Letrozole.
Have asked GP via askmyGP for more info and heard nothing.
I am concerned as to difference in side effects, Anastozole seems to affect arthritis more only going by Dr Google.
I don’t know if the change is permanent can you swop between them can and should I have 6 monthly Zoledronic acid infusion as normal.
i have never seen an oncologist only had phone consultations and never the same person twice I have no point of contact.
is anyone else having the same problem. is it absolutely fine and it happens all the time or should I get on the phone and find out.

Hi there, I see you didn't get a reply to your post and I found it after googling Letrozole shortage uk. Hope you're ok and have managed to get answers.
I have been on various cancer chats after I was experiencing shortages of Letrozole for breast cancer. I'm not sure if you're on Cancer Research, Macmillan etc chat but there are threads on there about UK shortages.
Hope you're getting on fine with Anastrozole and that you have your 6 monthly Zol infusions.

+1 Letrozole. My first month I produced 2 good looking follicles, but did not get pregnant. The second month I took the same dose of medication and produced 1 good follicle. I am happy to report that I am pregnant! I have PCOS and am very pleased with the outcome - https://onlinecheappills.com/letrozole.html
