Lump on Pubic bone

I've noticed over the past few days that I've got a hard pea sized lump on my pubic bone. When I open my legs it's on the left in the crevice of where my thigh joins to my genital area (?!). Hope that makes sense!!

Has anyone had this before? Trying not to panic...

Yes, I was panicking. Nurse said it was probably a cyst and it was. I've also had ingrown hairs a couple of times which felt like very hard little peas as stuff gathers around under the skin. Don't panic, but do go and get it checked out for your own peace of mind. Don't squeeze it. (Yet)

I've had this just recently, it ended up bursting (not painful), bled a bit and then went away completely.

I've no idea how long I've actually had it as I only noticed it a few days ago and automatically assumed the worst!

It doesn't have any colour to it. It's just under the skin when I feel that area. Is that right?

Could be be a swollen lymph node? They are usually more towards the groin area. I'd get it checked anyway OP to put your mind at ease but I'm sure it's nothing to worry about

I have got the most horrendous cold that doesn't seem to be going but I thought the groin lymph nodes were higher up. This is on the bone on my bikini line 🫤

There's a few In the groin area, hopefully this picture can help you visualise where they are in reference to what you feel. as others have said it's likely a cyst or maybe a node that's swelled a little but please get it checked by a GP if it doesn't go down, it will absolutely settle your mind, there's no point worrying unnecessarily

Yeah mine was just a bump that had no colour to it until just before it popped and it went a bit pink.

Hmm yeah I don't think it's a lymph node.

I think cysts do get bigger, but not super fast. Does it feel like it's just under the skin? Is definitely get it checked OP I know I keep saying it but it's so much better than worrying about it x

It definitely sounds like a cyst. I had one in the same place a couple of months ago and it got bigger and so painful as it kept rubbing on my pants. It eventually burst thank god as I was in so much pain.

Yes definitely just under the skin.

I honestly will get it checked if it's not gone by next week. Promise 😊 xx

This isn't massively painful at the minute - a bit sore if I irritate it but I wouldn't notice it if not. I only found it by chance too!

When/if it is a cyst and it bursts what will actually happen?? 😳

I didn't really feel it burst to be honest but when I went to the loo I had blood and gunk in my pants. I ended up having to put a pad in my pants for a few days. I also made sure I had a soak in a bath each evening and put some salt in it to help it heal. I think if you Google pubic cysts there is quite a bit of info.

They are nasty little suckers and I hope I never get another one!

I’ve had something like this for i’m not sure how long now, maybe a few weeks even, but it’s become painful i’m assuming with the rubbing of underwear. It is a lump with a pinky/purple patch on the top with no head so i’m unsure what it is, nothing on google seems to give an answer and no where on here really does either! So just asking if you found out what happened with your lump?

@tomhanks @hypochondriact did you find out what it was? I have found a pea sized lump under the skin down my bikini line and wondering if you have any advice? Thanks 😊
