PMT after baby - does it get better?!

How long did PMT take to settle after periods restarted after birth? I've had 8 periods since they returned and am getting crazy strong symptoms (worse than pre-baby); anxious, weepy, nausea, headaches, no energy. It's awful, feels like I'm losing a week of my life every month 😭

I actually didn't know PMT was worse after a baby, my baby is now 10months and I honestly just thought I was now crazy or depressed

Oh gosh I had this and it was so horrible. I honestly thought I was spiralling into a breakdown every month! But things did even out, probably around the year mark?

PMTcangoaway · 31/07/2023 18:55

Well, I'm glad to hear I'm not alone, but not that you've also suffered...

@Olivia199 ha, yes an intense breakdown each month is accurate! Hmm, maybe it's going to get better soon then?!!

@PMTcangoaway - It felt quite gradual but soon enough was less of an emotional wreck! It's awful, I really feel for you.

Take a look at the books of Maryon Stewart and PMT. Basically the baby take what it needs from you. Depleted nutrition means hormones get out of balance which = worse PMT.
really good nutrition and supplements and reducing stress 🫤 can help.
No more PMT is a good book. It definitely helped me
