Fibroids pressing on bowel

Has anyone had this?
I know I have at least one fibroid and a bulky uterus. For months now, I have had god awful period type pain in my tummy and a sharp pain in my left side ( hurts to twist to the left).

I've had a Ct scan and all okay with major organs/ ovaries apparently.

On Wednesday I have a pelvic scan. I'm struggling to empty my bowels properly at the moment, without a spoon full of calfig. I've never had this issue in my life. And after I've been, the abdominal pain is intense ( paracetamol and buscopan).

So fed up.

Plus I'm post menopausal on HRT.
I've also got a mirena coil. The Ct did show that it was in that uterine cavity, so maybe not that?

Are you on a list for surgery?

Fibroid embolisation can work brilliantly for some people, but isn’t suitable for all cases.

No, I had a pelvic scan last year which revealed the fibroid. Then a CT last months, which revealed the bulky uterus. Now bowel problems.

Next scan on Wednesday and then a referral to gynae. It's going to be a long winded process.

The NHS does drag things out for as long as possible.

Sorry you’re going through this.

Thanks.
Yes it's such a process with many hoops to jump through.

Oh well, here we go...

Just wondering if I should get this coil removed too? One less thing to think about then?
