Period delay tablets (Provera)

So I recently took Provera to delay my period for whilst I was on holiday. Took the tablets for a total of 15 days. Got period 5 days after stopping the tablets but have now been bleeding (heavily) for 11 days with no sign of it stopping. I was expecting a heavier and more painful period and maybe a day or 2 longer than usual (my usual is 5 or 6 days) But this is something else! It's really getting me down now. I'm usually the type to just crack on even if my periods are painful and have a really high pain threshold, but this is leaving me unable to do even the most basic things without really struggling - e.g. can't really walk far and housework is difficult without getting ridiculously dizzy and having to constantly sit down. The info in the pack said to call the doctor if still bleeding after 14 days, which of course I will do.

But in the meantime, has anyone here had experience of Provera to delay periods? Was your period longer and more painful than usual afterwards and did your next period come at the expected time or did the tablets mess up your cycle?

I'm wonder if I've now got my next period slightly early (would have been due on some time next week) or if I'll still get this on top of this long bleed?

Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks
