Menstrual cup no fitting after c section

I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or has any advice. I used a menstrual cup for years before I had my baby (18 months ago) and loved it, it fitted perfectly and never leaked. Since my periods returned at about a year postpartum (after a c section), it just hasn't worked for me - on the whole it's comfortable and feels like it fits well, but it leaks very easily. I've tried a the larger cup of a different brand and it was awful, it felt far too big, uncomfortable and difficult to insert, although I would say that it is stiffer than my smaller sized one so I don't imagine that helps. I'm tempted to buy the larger size of my original cup to see if that's different, but it's a lot of money to spend on something that might not work, especially since the smaller cup doesn't feel like it's too small.

Can anyone tell me how you knew that a cup was too small for you? As maybe it is and I'm just not able to tell.

Also, does anyone have experience of a cup just never fitting after birth (vaginal or section)? Or taking a long time to fit again? I've read that it's normal for things to take a while to return to normal but 18 months feels like a long time.

Thanks in advance
