Recurrent thrush

I have been getting recurrent thrush ever since loosing my virginity 5 years ago, I am still with the same partner. I have tried absolutely everything but I am sure it is related to sex as we took 6 month away from sex and I didn't get a single infection, we had sex again and boom the thrush is back. We have both treated ourselves multiple times, I've even done long courses of fluconazole and always make sure to clean with warm water after sex. My partner wasn't a virgin when we met and has never had this problem with other women so my question is am I somehow allergic to sex in general or something within his microbiome and we are just not a good match. I never let him finish inside me as I know this can cause thrush for some women. I don't want to break up but I don't want to have thrush for the rest of my life. I have found taking fluconazole once a month stops the thrush but I don't know if that is safe to do for the rest of my life. I have been to the GP and even a gynaecologist but they don't seem to help. I feel so lost and fed up.

Are you sure it’s thrush and not BV?

Yeah lots of positive tests for thrush and only one randomly for BV! @Tannedandfake
