Problems with period delay pill?

Hey ladies, I took the period delay pill (progesterone) last month for 10 days as prescribed by my GP to delay it for a holiday. First time I’ve ever done this. Taking the pill was fine, had some breakthrough bleeds days 8 9 and 10 but then my period came afterwards.

This month however (the following month) my period just hasn’t shown up at all! I normally get my period every 16/17 days, but I’m now on day 23! I’m never this late. I’m defo not pregnant. Has this happened to anyone else before?

16/17 days is a very short cycle? That would drive me mad. I know some people are given the pill to try and make them more regular, it's all similar hormones, the delay one is all progesterone, maybe it's just triggered something in your system, hopefully something permanent!

I'd do a pregnancy test if there is a chance you could be pregnant though. Other wise it'll hopefully be here soon.

Yep, frustrating having such a short cycle, but it’s normally short but you can time your watch by it! I did a PT this morning to double check and negative so I’m sure that’s not the issue.
