Breast pain

Is there any point making a GP appointment if its likely not to be anything serious? I had surgical menopause 11 years ago so it's not hormone related as I don't have ovaries and I'm not on HRT. My right breast has been painful just below the nipple for nearly 2 weeks. It's hard to describe but almost like a stitch/pulling/burning pain. Had mammogram 2 years ago all clear. The sensation is almost like when you are breastfeeding and let down is about to happen! Should I just wait to see if it settles?

I think as you have described a pulling feeling behind the nipple it would be very wise to arrange a doctor's appointment, particularly as the sensation has been there for two weeks.
You know what's normal for you, and what isn't, and the earlier things like this are caught, the easier they are to treat.
And if it turns out to be nothing sinister, you will have peace of mind, but please make the doctor's appointment.
