Breast Hematoma

I caught a rough accidental elbow to the breast a week ago and today noticed a prominent (small plum sized) hard lump in my breast. I'm of course going to the doctor but believe I'm likely experiencing a hematoma and wondering if anyone can share their experience with this. Did it resolve without needing to be drained and if so how long? If it needed to be drained was it painful and were you given anything to help with the pain?

I had a massive hematoma following a breast biopsy. I didn’t have it drained , your body reabsorbs it but it took several months .
I just took painkillers and wore sports bras day and night to support my breast . It was incredibly painful due to all the swelling and bruising.
I would definitely get it checked out to be sure. It could take several weeks but good support really helps, I was wearing 2 bras and a support vest in the early days and taking regular painkillers.
