Random long scratches appearing

Seriously WTF?

Woke this morning and I had an array of long marks like scratches across my torso / side. They didn't hurt but looked exactly like reasonably fresh long scratches like from a cat or something.

Forgot about it, then this eve touched my neck and I have about 3/4 similar but very tender long scratch like wounds on my neck?!

Google is unusually zero help so any ideas wise MNers?!

I'm not normally a hypochondriac, this feels like either a super random thing or a sign of imminent death

Ah!! My partner scratches himself in his sleep - he will often wake up with scratches on his neck/face/shoulders. I assume you, too, did this to yourself while sleeping.

I've had this all my life - although some of the scratches have been in places I literally cannot reach when awake!

I did Google it once and responses such as "demon possession" came back, so I've decided to stick to the idea that it's me scratching in my sleep!

ok I'll stick to my low iron raggedy nails misbehaving in my sleep!

Check your bedding, I had a long scratch up by arm as I'd left a needle in the bed, I'd been sewing a few nights before and had forgotten about it, or zips, buttons they could scratch against you?
Other than that it must of been the banshee
